Last Saturday...
Wow!!! Last Saturday (July 23, 2005), I went to NDP '05 Preview 1 and its Final Rehearsal. Stunning and thrilling man! I went together with my Aunt to Padang (quite near to the new Supreme Court) and reached there about 4.45 pm. By then we saw a lot of students from different schools walking towards the Blue Sector. Haiz...I thought we can one straight enter into Green Sector. Tell you what, there's 3 checkpoints. Near the Swissotel near the Esplanade and near to the Green Sector. "Show your tickets please" was said by the polices and organizers 3 times! Wa Lao! But, for security purposes, they should do this. As I had finally found one seat towards the front (ah ya! Of course to get a better view of my sister performing!). By 5 pm, the hosts came into view by cars (cool one man!) OMG! Sharon! Adrain Pang! Gurmit Singh! Kim Ng! and dunno who's that Malay guy - but he looks familar! First time close contact to them! Slowly, as the time approaches 5.35 pm, we stood up to dance to the steps of the Theme Song. Shake your butts! Eeee...smelly armpits! We even do the Padang Wave and Singapore wave. ~~上接不接下气~~ We did around 9 times. Haha...my Singapore flag (fake one - for entertainment) just flew off from my hands to the other place! Me too strong hah! Parade the most important! The President (fake one) waves his hands and everyone burst into laughter (Why? Singapore president is fat and that guy is thin HAhahah... Sorry!) Zooming planes (near Mach 3.5 wow!) so loud! Show casing Singapore's first F-16 planes, SuperPumas and Chinooks. Mobile column. Big man! Missiles ~~~~fire them! Fire engines - ahhh...FIRE! Hazard and DART... chemicals found, maybe terrorists on the loose, EVERYONE EVACUATE! Close to 7.30 pm... my sister on ACTION! ~~Shrinking mouth~~ sexy girls and hunky boys! Flowers, grasses, "live fishes" - like what! on the Go! I managed to locate my sister. Nice man! After all the themed acts, FIREWORKS - fire dancing in the air, wow! I thought I saw shooting stars! The whole Padang suddenly "rocks" - like got earthquake! This is really my second time to go and watch NDP! I'm proud to be a Singaporean! If you are a foreigner reading my BLOG, be sure you buy NDP tickets and come to Singapore and watch the celebrations!
