Finally...

August 9 has finally arrived! It's another public holiday in Singapore! Today, my sister once again has to perform for the public. I see that she's a bit kind of nervous. Well...in front of about 6000 people doesn't seem too easy to perform. After the celebration, my nation will turn 40. It's very difficult to get through to this day. We suffered recession, SARS crisis, riots in 60s and 70s, and competition from other countries. We managed these odds because we united as one to fight these problems. Our government system, best in the world, no matter what consequences, help its people. Remember in 2003, we were out from the list of countries in WHO. We were the only country that united as one to fight SARS. Even the person-in-charge praised us in this way. Well...we still have a long, long way to go. We must remain united to fight future odds. May Singapore contiune to survive in this world. Happy 40th Birthday, Singapore! I love U!
